Start Application and Exam Registration Deadline
We wish you all the best for the upcoming semester start and welcome all students who will start their studies in summer semester 2022 at our Faculty Wiwi! Please remember that you have to submit an application for admission to the Bachelor's, Master's or Subsidiary Subject's examination to the Examination Office once before the first exam registration within the admission period. You can download the application for admission at the download area.
Unfortunately, the system does not automatically implement the free trials of the winter semester 2021/22. We will phase the records in your QIS accounts manually step by step. We ask for your patience in the meantime.
As soon as it is determined to what extent pandemic-related special regulations will be continued in the summer semester 2022 and when the examination dates will take place in the summer semester 2022, we will inform you in the Examination Office News. Please always check your @stud e-mails and our Examination Office News regularly. We recommend subscribing to the Examination Office News.
Please check the information for each course in which you want to take an exam in the LSF course catalogue under the headings "Dates/Times/Location Group" & "Comments" (course organization and realization), "Certificates" (examination form) and "Prerequisites" (registration and deregistration deadline). In some cases, different deadlines and registration procedures apply.
For certain modules, which are limited to a number of participants, a two-stage registration procedure with two different deadlines applies. You have to take part in both stages, otherwise an exam registration is not possible. The procedure requires a login with the HRZ account and iTAN number. If you face problems with your access data, the support of the University Computing Center is available. The following deadlines apply for two-stage registration procedures:
Stage 1: Application Deadline: 21 March 2022 – 04 April 2022
Module Application via QIS: My Functions > Lectures occupy/sign off (Instruction QIS Module Application)
Stage 2: Exam Registration and Withdrawal Deadline: 07 April 2022 – 20 April 2022
Exam Registration and Withdrawal via QIS: My Functions > Administration of exams (Instruction QIS Exam Registration)
In stage 1, you apply an assignment in a module, which is limited to a number of participant. Depending on the programme, there are module bundles per field of study or module area. Within a bundle, all modules have to be prioritized, no module can be omitted.
After the application deadline, you will receive one acceptance at most to one of the modules for each applied bundle by lot, which entitles you to register for this accepted module in stage 2. The acceptance does not replace an exam registration. Without an exam registration in stage 2, the allocated module claim of the module application in stage 1 expires.
After acceptance in the application procedure, there is no obligation to register for the exam in stage 2. You do not need to withdraw from the application in stage 1, if you are not satisfied with the assigned module.
If there is an assignment of available capacities provided for a bundle, additional exam registrations are possible, even without a participation or an acceptance in the two-stage registration procedure. If desired and possible, registration for another module from the same bundle would be possible that way, too. Detailed information on the procedure of the assignment of available capacities on 21 April 2022 from 11 am to 01 pm is available on this website.
- Bachelor’s students, who will start their studies at the Faculty Wiwi in the first semester in the summer semester 2022, please note that the two-stage registration procedure only applies to modules with a limited number of participants in the qualification phase. For the compulsory modules of the first two semesters of the orientation phase, there is no application procedure, but only an examination registration via QIS within the applicable registration deadlines as from 07 April 2022.
- Master’s students, who will start their studies at the Faculty Wiwi in the first semester in the summer semester 2022, will only be able to participate in stage 1 of the procedure after the official semester start as from 01 April 2022 at 12 noon onwards for technical reasons. You will not be disadvantaged by this, as the time of application is not important for the lottery.
Given problems or questions, please contact us immediately before the respective deadline ends via e-mail (pruefungsamt[at]wiwi.uni-frankfurt[dot]de) with a screenshot of the displayed error message attached. Please use significant subject lines and always provide your student ID number and your full name.
Take care and stay healthy!
